Each of these classes meets 9:00am every Sunday and has an "open enrollment" - they welcome visitors at any time. If you're not already attending a class, you're encouraged to give one of these a try!
Note: The congregation of Hope United Methodist Church is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all children, youth, vulnerable adults and volunteers who participate in ministries and activities sponsored by the church. The Hope Church Safe Sanctuary policy reflects our congregation's commitment to preserving this church as a holy place of safety and protection for all who would enter, and as a place in which all people can experience the love of God through relationship with others. All staff and volunteers are required to review the UMC's Safe Sanctuaries Book and Video Tape, and staff and regular volunteers are required to complete and submit a Criminal Record Background Check. You may read more about this policy on the Safe Sanctuary page of this website.
Christians Under Construction - this class, led by Joe Franczyk and Bob Philby, meets in the Church Office and uses the "Faith Weaver" Sunday School curriculum. This is a great adult curriculum, but if you are the parent of a child in one our Sunday School classes, here's one more advantage: "Faith Weaver" in also used in all of our youth classes! This curriculum is designed so that all classes and ages participating are basically covering the same Bible material at the same time, with the content structured to best communicate and meet the needs of each particular age level. What a concept! This allows for excellent family talks about "what we learned in Sunday School today" regardless of the ages of your children.
Men of Hope / Promisekeepers - this men's Sunday School class, led by Shawn Boettlin, meets in Room 2 and is open to men of all ages. Come ready to leave behind some of the burdens you carried into the room!
Women of Worth - this women's Sunday School class meets in Room 4 and is open to women of all ages. Led by Mary Phillips, the Women of Worth class studies may include books of the Bible as well as books by various Christian authors, including Rick Warren, Max Lucado and others. We have lively discussions as well as praise and prayer time. Join us anytime!
The "Faith Weaver" Sunday School curriculum is used in all of our youth classes, and the adult version of Faith Weaver is used in our "Christians Under Construction" class (yes, an adult Sunday School Class)! This curriculum is designed so that all classes and ages participating are basically covering the same Bible material at the same time, with the content structured to best communicate and meet the needs of each particular age level. We think that's a great concept! The Faith Weaver curriculum encourages excellent family discussions about "what we learned in Sunday School today" regardless of the ages of your children.
