Pastor Ken Invites You To Hear "The Rest of the Message"

Here's our text for Sunday, May 6, 2007:

I Chronicles 29:10-14

David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly, saying, "Praise be to you, O Lord, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name. But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand."

Psalms 116:12

How can I repay the Lord for all his goodness to me?

What Shall I Render to the Lord?

Do you want a more joy-filled life? Do you want to know the peace of God in a more real and personal way than ever before?

How can you possibly repay the Lord?? Hasn't He given you all that you have? I mean, really, how could you?

The Preacher will often say, "Jesus wants all of you, not just your money." There's an easy concept! So what do you do? Just how do you repay the Lord for all He's given to you?

And here's another thought... why does the Creator of all that is, the Great I AM, the Parent of every living creature in the universe, need your dollars anyhow??

The answer: He doesn't and you can't. And in David's verses from First Chronicles above we read that all David wants to do is give THANKS.  OK, TY God! Now I can get on with earning bucks for ME! Right? NOT RIGHT! Why?

I'll give you a hint: The only Thank You God wants is ALL OF YOU. Your time. Your Talent. And yes, even your Treasure.

All of me? Everything? Impossible! So many of us think we'll just do what we can: Attend church when we can...Give whatever is left over to the church and other missions when we have it or when guilt makes us respond to some need...And we live in exactly the opposite of the way Jesus tells us to: In poverty. Poverty of the soul, instead of abundance of the heart!

This Sunday I invite you to come hear the rest of this story, for the presenter has wowed me and many at Palmer Seminary, where we are students together, with her joyful response to God for all He has given her.

Crystal Baylor is a leader of her church and a person discerning how to give more of herself, not just her money, to God every day.

Do you want a more joy filled life? Do you want to know the peace of God in a more real and personal way than ever before? Come this Sunday to hear Crystal explain how she and every other believer for the past 2000 years has found God's truth for them.

Come join us on Sunday for "The Rest of the Message!"
